Our students enjoyed a fun filled week this week, jam packed with activities, studying, out-trips and laughter.
Our grade 10 students participated in out-trips. They went kayaking, surfing, hiking, paddle boarding, and learned about gardening. Many had the opportunity to go camping overnight. More information and photos can be found here: https://www.smusoutdoor.com/senior
On Thursday our school acknowledged National Truth and Reconciliation Day in which we learned about the history of Indigenous People in Canada and the residential schools. This day was honoured through assemblies and guest speakers and reflected on in classes throughout the week. On Friday evening our grade 12 Head of Houses hosted an open mic night for all the boarders. Winslow’s talent was well represented and students had lots of fun!

Activities this weekend included baking cookies and crafting, and a seafood linguine cooking class in our common room! Good food was enjoyed by all this weekend!
